What we do

Clearly playing Old English Bowls is a big part of what we do

. We play every day, except Sunday’s from the beginning of April.

.  Organised play takes place in the afternoons, until the end of September

on Tuesday , Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday.

And in the evenings on Monday ,Wednesday, & Friday.

.  Members can play independently outside of these hours providing

   maintenance is not in progress.

. The   “Club is fiercely  independent”  and  its members are expected to use

the skills they might have to support the activities involved in running of the

club whenever this is possible.

   These activities include.

.   Maintaining the greens and the club facilities.

.   Providing afternoon teas.

.   Assisting and organising events.

.   Upkeep of the grounds ( Titchfield Bowling Club was recognised in the 2017

    Village in bloom event) .

.    Support Fund raising activities.

.   In addition the club also:

.   Plays Short Mat bowls once a week during the winter months.

.  Holds regular social  events through the playing season and the winter

    months.

. Competes in friendly matches against  other Old English Bowls clubs.

Namely  Alverstoke   &   Hayling  Island .
